Hi guys, it's Gold here! Today's post is gonna be a review on Fallout Shelter, as stated by the title. For those of you who don't know, Fallout Shelter was created by Bethesda, the company who makes all of the Fallout games for PC. You can tell as both apps use similar slang. However, in the PC games, you play as a survivor in a vault, while in the app, you are Overseer of the vault. Your goal is to create a thriving vault for post-apocalyptic survival. This game is rated 13+ by the App Store.

How to Play

Basically, you start of the game with a vault that's near empty. You then build resource rooms in order to provide the 5 basic resources for your vault: food, power, water, StimPaks, and RadAways.

Here I am collecting water, power, and food from production rooms. Notce the three bars on the top are red, signaling i have a shortage of these resources

StimPaks are auto-healers that you can give your dwellers(citizens) when they are injured and RadAways are to treat radiation poisoning, which can happen with low food and water supplies.

Here is my Med Bay and Science Lab, with ready-to-collect StimPacks and RadAways

Here I have the option to give my dweller StimPacks or RadAways by tapping the button

You assign dwellers to work in said rooms, and eventually can build rooms the level up their SPECIAL stats, 7 stats that are crucial to surviving the nuclear apocalypse (strength, perception, endurance, charisma, agility, and luck).

Here, my dwellers are leveling up their Perception, Agility, and Strength

You can also send dwellers to explore the wilderness, in which you can find weapons, armor, and materials for crafting. Note your dwellers can die in the wilderness, so keep checking their stats!

My dweller died exploring the Wasteland! Note his health bar is partially filled in red, indicating radiation damage. I have to pay 987 COINS to get him back alive! If I don't, I lose all the stuff he collected, shown as the bottom bar.

Sometimes, fires can happen, as well as infestations of mutated cockroaches (known as Radroaches), and attacks from other survivors! You need to have dwellers ready with protective armor and/or weapons to help the situation.

So that's it guys! I love Fallout Shelter, but my opinion is that it can get a bit repetitive. I would give it 3.5/5 stars.
